Yes, I was stupid enough to bid on Quibids auctions! They are the biggest rip-off scam artists I've dealt with. There is no protection or recourse against these schemers.

Quibids is obviously not regulated by anyone and is therefore free to make any unsupported claims they wish without having to provide proof, which is what they've done to me. When I investigated as to why they claimed I'd bid so many times when I knew I didn't bid that much, Quibids claimed, in an erroneous "bidding history" that I placed bids on things I absolutely know I didn't bid on. They showed me bidding on an Apple Mac, and I would never use one of those as I'm a long time Microsoft fan. I've tried Apple in the past, and just couldn't get into it. They also showed me bidding on a large screen TV, and although I may be stupid for going into Quibids in the first place, I'm not stupid enough to believe I'll be the high bidder on a large screen TV, and I would never even begin bidding on one of them. They also claimed I used an automatic bidder, and I don't even have any idea what that is or how it works! On top of this, I was charged "shipping" on bid points that they supposedly just dropped into my account!

After they let you win a couple of little things at first to hook you in, you then begin to see patterns indicating that the auctions are rigged. I'd get knocked out of the bidding right at the very last second, yet other bidders had no problems at all. Quibids blamed it on my computer even though I have higher broadband speed than most.

Customer service inquiries were useless, as Quibids doesn't give a darn about your complaints and makes no bones about it. They don't even make an attempt to address your complaint if you ask for your money back. They simply told me that someone else must have been bidding my own bid points in my own name. This makes absolutely no sense, and Quibids doesn't care whether it makes sense to you or not.

Any authority or agency attempting to investigate Quibids is free to use any information available in my complaint, although I might add that they will unboubtedly receive no useful information, only lies and deceit, as I did when I investigated. Their hands will be tied, and they'll not be able to resolve this because they're dealing with dishonest people, who as we know, do not play by the rules. I was stupid and I know it, and I'm incensed at their blatant arrogance and dishonesty. The only recourse I have at my disposal is to warn other people about Quibids.

Monetary Loss: $293.

I'd like to share my real story, hoping that people will be able to avoid losing money on QuiBids.

I joined QuiBids. At first, I won 3 small auctions. On the second days, I tried to bid on $200 gift card, and I lost. But I was able to win three other small auctions very quickly at the same day. The next day, I was very determined to win 200 voucher bid valued of $150, but I lost. At that time, I had 254 voucher bids, and I knew that if I lost, I would lose a lot, since I would not have an option to buy back. Therefore, I would bid all of of 254 voucher bids that is $152.40 in value (not real, though), and more, if necessary, to have a final victory. I waited, waited, and waited until the bid went to $35 (I thought that would be a good start. I thought the bid should have ended soon basing on my previous experience), I began to bid.

But I was wrong. The bid went on, up to $45 (4500 bids, or $2700 in bid value), and kept going on and on. I did not give up. I continued although I had spent more than 200 bids, and more than 3 hours patiently placing bids.

But then, the bid suddenly ended while there were still at least 5 people playing, and some of them placed bids using automatic option. Could anyone explain logically how it could happen that way? Someone might say it just happened coincidentally, but I don't think so. It's very very unlikely that 5 people stopped placing bids at that same time. Plus, I remembered some "new" customers often joined in at the auction as it seemed. The auction still went on strong, then it suddenly stopped. I really don't think it was real. It was obviously an setup.

But the phony story did not end there. After that big lost, I went on, placing bids on three small auctions, $10, $15, and $15. And that time, I won again, too easily, too quickly to believe it was real. I won three auctions (one $10 and two $15 walmart gift cards) in less than 3 minutes. I was very surprised. Wow, is that easy? Why people suddenly gave up so easily? I really don't think so.

The next day, I tried small auctions again. That time, I did not win anything, although I was willing to bid many times, and although it was very early Monday morning, about 4 or 5 AM. Were there more competitors at that time, compared at 4 to 8 PM on Sunday? I don't think so. After I placed 20 bids ($12) or so, for $15 gift card, QuiBid forced me to stop. The point here is why $15 gift card auction were much more competitive at 4 to 5 AM on Monday, compared at 4 to 8 PM on Sunday? It's very unlikely so.

Connecting all of these, I figured out that the auctions were not real. QuiBid would end the auction at the time when it sees fit. QuiBid gave me three small victories to give me some incentives after a big lost. It is not easy to win anything if QuiBid does not want one to win.

The auctions were set up so that QuiBid, the only winner, could make money, a lot of money. Everybody who actually placed bids will lose eventually. QuiBid is so greedy. QuiBid cannot fool anybody.

And yes, currently there is a lawsuit against QuiBid right now. I definitely support the lawsuit against QuiBid.

Initially, I was hoping to get something at a discounted price in this crisis time. Many stores went out of business. Many items are sold at under price.

But what I got at QuiBid is nothing, except some $15 walmart gift cards after spending more than $150. QuiBid had very limited useful, good things to bid on. QuiBid deceived people. QuiBid said people could get a TV with pennies. Nothing likes that. You will lose money, if you join.

It happened the same thing to me, "After they let you win a couple of little things at first to hook you in, you then begin to see patterns indicating that the auctions are rigged. I'd get knocked out of the bidding right at the very last second, yet other bidders had no problems at all.

Quibids blamed it on my computer even though I have higher broadband speed than most". Definitely, QuiBids is scam.
