Quibids is apparently legal unfortunately, but they are indeed a 100% scam outfit and they know it.

However, what they say is true, the terms are on their web site and it's hard to feel sorry for anyone *** enough to fall for the whole obnoxious business.

They SHOULD be ashamed of themselves but I'm certain they are too greedy.

Please stay as far from them as you can.

Quibids is another in a long line of auction sites that feed off of people's greed. The old adage "if it sounds too good to be true it probably is" applies here.

the big lie is that you can get expensive stuff for pennies on the dollar. What they don't tell you is that every bid costs you money and they don't include this amount in the price they show people getting things for. the truth is people are paying hundreds or thousands more than the "deal" they say they bought something for. That $20.00 bid required 2000 bids as each bid raises the price by 1 penny.

Each penny bid costs more than a penny however so the reality is that the 20 dollar winning bid cost 2000*price per bid. At 1 dollar per bid that's a lot of money.

these people should be put out of business and sonehould be ashamed of themselves. They are liars.

Yes you are correct. QuiBids is making a killing.

For instance say you won a bid on a $500 dollar item for $20 bucks.

Yes you got a deal but look what QuiBids makes.

It took 2000 bids to get the price to $20.00 bucks.

That at $.60 per bid is $1200.00 plus your $20.00 bucks.

So QuiBids makes $1220.00 for an item that retails for $500.00 Big profits for QuiBids.

When a person creates an account on Quibids is made perfectly clear that they will be charged $60.000 and per bid or do they have to search for that information? Is there like a pop-up windows that explains this before they create their account?

Or anything like that? If not then one has to wonder why not?

And why not tell people about the FTC view of Quibids and other penny auctions?

Why do you just try to be as informative to how your site works to new users? Why not just be as informative as possible?

Say for example why not have window that pops up that new users have to agree to that explain in detail that when a user signs up for an account that they will be charged $60.00 and that they will be charged per bid whether they win an auction or not? And also inform them before they create the account that if a refund is requested that it will be minus the bids they made?

It isn't untill you have spent the $60.00 you didn't know you were spending, that you find out that it cost you up to $3.00 a bid, then you idiots make all of that information available. When you express your displeasure to your so called support team.." They send you a link to qui bids bidding 101.
